Prestige is in flight and underfoot

The instructions were as crisp as the day they were given in October of 2000 — design the best golf experience in the state of Kentucky.

Six years later, a city better known for caves and Corvettes checked 'Championship Golf' off its wish list and gave bucket list golfers a new course to pursue. Favorable comparisons to other prestigious clubs quickly followed, but a round at Olde Stone is nothing short of a memorable experience. Golf Digest awarded Olde Stone the 8th Best New Private Club in 2007, which preceded several national recognitions in the years ahead.

Ranked in the state’s top three private courses by Golfweek for 2022, you can join us at the top of our game.

Greener this side of Bowling Green

Shaped by prolific course architect Arthur Hills, our 7,372-yard layout was designed to provide an outstanding golf experience. The Club at Olde Stone is woven into the natural southern Kentucky landscape, a combination of rolling hills, flatlands, trees, native grasses and water. The course is further distinguished by a vertical change of over 160 feet between the highest and lowest points on the property, and penalty areas that come into play on five holes. The facility has welcomed high profile national events since its inception, including the PGA Junior Ryder Cup, USGA Girls Junior Championship, The Southern Amateur and Southern Junior Amateur, and The Trans-Miss Four ball to mention just a few.

Let’s play the hits

Live to tell about the 17 fairway bunkers of Entrapment (Hole 4), outlast the 600-yard dogleg double fairway of Wishbone (Hole 7), drink in the scenery of Symphony (Hole 15), and inevitably arrive at Drake's Dream. Our signature 16th is striking Par 3, and tee shots are wise to follow suit. Flanked by Drake's Creek to the left with slopes up the right, accuracy is key. Pray for par, journey on, finish strong!

No format left unturned

The professional staff at Olde Stone offer fun and competitive golf programs including a variety of tournaments and leagues for all ages and skill levels. Signature events like Wyatt's Revenge, an 18-hole superintendent's tournament, humble our golf members and the Battle of Drakes Creek partner event produces a year-long competition. Oh, and buckle up for The Bourbon Barrel, a Ryder Cupstyle showdown with The Golf Club of Tennessee.

The youth movement

The Club at Olde Stone is well known for its junior golf program. The professional staff welcomes juniors of all skill levels with fun and exciting programming. The Club’s PGA Junior League teams have successfully competed at the state and regional levels in recent years. In 2022, we had the privilege of hosting the USGA's 73rd U.S. Girls' Junior Championship. The fastest-growing USGA championship and the first U.S. Girls Junior Championship held in the Bluegrass State, over 150 golfers from around the globe made their way to Bowling Green for a prestigious week of golf culminating in a riveting 36-hole final won by rising star Yana Wilson.

Practice meets playground

Member-designed and enjoyed by all, only good times roll at The Sink Hole. Short games become ironed across its 9-hole Par 3 layout. The Sink Hole is a distinctive short course with a unique design and ideal for laid-back fun with family and friends, or for those skilled golfers looking to hone in their short game. The methodically designed layout is maintained at the same world class conditions as the championship course at Olde Stone, and features holes playing as short as 35 yards up to 125 yards. Another feature of The Sink Hole is the massive putting surface that encompasses nearly 27,000 square feet and has 18 hole locations for endless practice and enjoyment.

Personalized PGA-guided instruction is provided by a dedicated team of professionals. No need to travel, as our professional team offers custom club-fitting year-round, using our double sided 12 acre practice facility and climate-controlled hitting bays to round out one of the finest learning centers in the Commonwealth.
